The Polytechnic of Leiria andBetter2Earth have signed a cooperation protocol aimed at the development of studies in pioneer scientific projects in Portugal.
The Polytechnic of Leiria has established itself in recent years as an institution focused on research, development, and innovation (R&D+i), having as core an R&D+i ecosystem primarily oriented to benefit the economic and social fabric of the region where it is applied, but also focused on the global, broader scope inherent in any such R&D+i effort.
One of its objectives is to ensure that our cooperative R&D+i activity is useful for the region, while also being relevant for the whole country and incorporating potential for application in an international context.
Description relating to R&D+i
In addition to Better2Esrth's dedicated research units, the Polytechnic of Leiria has a solid internal support structure for its R&D+i activity, which is divided into three sectors: INDEA, CTC and a Projects office.
Innovation through collaboration
University research plays an important role in industrial innovation. Fostering collaborative partnerships in scientific research has emerged as a critical imperative to sustaining this innovation and, with this in mind, this protocol will cover technical and scientific research knowledge exchanges, promote technical and scientific activities, explore new areas of scientific and industrial applications and support scholarships within the scope of both entities.
Better2Earth contribute to global sustainable development with inspiring environmental technology centered on Porous Alpha.
This research collaboration accelerates the knowledge-transfer between experts, and translates world-class research into practical applications that have important commercial, economic, and social benefits.
Expertise and experience from our partner Tottori Resource Recycling Global (TRRG) will be part of this protocol, contributing to ongoing applications around the world.
Description relating to Tottori
This protocol, other partnerships and investigative programs that Better2Earth is driving intend to promote Porous Alpha role in a circular economy for waste glass, framed by and supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
